In retrospect, it was an incredible achievement.” Levenseller circa 2005 with fellow WSU assistant coaches and one-time WSU standout players Timm Rosenbach, George Yarno, Ken Greene and Mike Walker. “And here’s the thing that people tend to lose sight of, which makes that record - two Rose Bowls in the span of six seasons - all the more impressive: we did it with limited facilities and small, small budgets. “We had great coaches and players who bought in - Mike Price did a helluva job putting it all together,” Levenseller said. That achievement, said Levenseller, set the table for big recruiting successes that resulted in another conference title and Rose Bowl berth for the Cougs in the 2002 season.
